River has been a dream come true right from the start. Her dam, Windy, is one of our favorite tervs, and we were thrilled when we were able to acquire one of her daughters, thanks to the generosity of Jill and Ron. River has grown up to have many of the qualities that we so admire in Windy. A medium sized bitch with excellent substance, she has wonderful structure and movement.
River was Best In Sweepstakes and Best In Specialty Show at her very first show, at just over six months of age! She went on to finish her championship at eight months with three specialty majors. She was undefeated for Winners Bitch on the way to her championship.
River is fulfilling the potential that we saw in her as a puppy and young
adult. She has turned into the ultimate showgirl, never putting a foot
wrong and never letting down. She has added another Best In Specialty Show and
several Best Opposites in Specialty Show under renowned judges. She is
the first Tervuren bitch to finish her Grand Championship, which she did in
only seven shows.
Future plans for River include taking some time off for maternity duties
and finishing up her Novice agility titles. And, of course, more dog shows!
